Publish on your own domain.

Read your paper at your own address. You add one record at your registrar. We add the certificate.

One record, and it stays yours

Your desk shows you the exact record. Nothing else in your DNS is touched, by us or by anyone.

A subdomain
news.yourpaper.com
Add one CNAME record.
news  CNAME  drm3-domain-proxy.fly.dev

Every registrar can do this.

Your whole domain
yourpaper.com
Add one A record.
yourpaper.com  A  168.220.82.194

For IPv6, add an AAAA record to 2a09:8280:1::19b:e7ac:0.

A whole domain is as simple as a subdomain: one A record instead of one CNAME. You keep your own DNS zone and your own email, and nothing else on your side changes.

Three steps
1

In your desk, open Settings › How it publishes › Your own domain. Type your address.

2

Add the record your desk shows, at your registrar.

3

Leave it. From here it is automatic.

What happens next

It is automatic. There is no step on our side, and nothing to wait for us to do.

Your newsroomfloor.com address keeps serving the whole time, so no link breaks. Sign-in, the paywall, and the email briefing all work on your own address too.
